Rule 26A:    Possession/Use of Paging Devices, Cellular Phones and/or Other Electronic Communication Devices

The use or possession of a beeper, cellular phone or other electronic communication device (CD player, MP3, DVD player, iPods, cameras, video game players) on a school campus, a school bus or at a school-related activity, during the regular school day, is prohibited, except when required for medical or other compelling reasons.  Documentation must be on file with the student’s administrator and school nurse. ( Arkansas Code and 6-18-502)  THE LITTLE ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT IS NOT RESPONISIBLE FOR LOST, STOLEN OR DAMAGED ITEMS.

First Offense:            Warning, confiscation of the device for a 24-hour period

or next school day and parent conference. (CONFISCATED ITEMS MUST BE PICKED UP BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN.)

Second Offense:        In- School suspension – 3 days

Third Offense:          Suspension: 6 days and probation

Fourth Offense:        Long-term suspension / ALE recommendation
